My good cousin Niels and his beautiful bride Christianne wanted to have a small tranquil wedding…
Of course we couldn’t let this pass by quietly and my aunt organised a big surprise lunch for the whole family to celebrate this memorable day together with them.
See below the pictures of this lovely lunch.
Niels and Christianne: Congratulations and we wish you all the love in the world…

Today I did a family photoshoot with Jody, Renske, Axel and Phebe.
For this shoot I had some compositions in mind, but those went straight out of the window once I started shooting these little bundles of energy.
Children are very hard to direct and I quickly realised it’s better to just go with the flow. It turned out to be more of a reportage style of photoshoot, but I think it worked out pretty well.
I can see myself doing this more often.
It was a cool experience… I had a great time!

What better opportunity to getting used to my new Fujinon XF 23mm lens than being surrounded by a bunch of monkeys…?
The 23mm is a bit wider than my all-time-favourite 35mm lens, but I’m already seeing its advantages! Probably will be shooting a lot with this lens the upcoming days.
It does look like a familiar angle. But that is probably because it is the main focal length used in street photography, where I get a lot of my inspiration from. This was one of my main reasons for getting this lens.
Yes I know, the images have a little bit extremer post processing to them, than I’d normally would do.
I’m experimenting with some tone curve settings in Lightroom, looking for possibilities to put some personal flavour in my images. 😉
